Our Beer

Here at the Walnut Brewery we understand the importance of great beer. The best beer is the freshest beer. Through using the freshest ingredients to handpicking the finest hops in the Yakima Valley - our brewers create their own representations of the world's renowned beer styles that go so well with our flavorful food.

We are proud to bring you unique, fresh and handcrafted beer - always brewed on site.

Buffalo Gold®
A light caramel malt imparts a golden hue combined with a touch of Willamette and Cascade hops for a subtle citrus-spice finish. A great introduction to craft brewed ales.

Old Elk Brown Ale
Medium caramel malt, Munich malt, and chocolate malt are combined for a rich, complex malt flavor which dominates while just a hint of Willamette hops lends a subtle, earthy finish. 2002 Silver Medal Winner-Great American Beer Festival. English Brown Ale Category.

Big Horn Bitter®
Just a touch of chocolate and black malts provide a deep, complex color while a liberal use of Chinook and Willamette hops add an earthy, spicy quality to this beer.

Devil’s Thumb Stout
Loads of black and roasted malts give a deep, onyx color. Because the Stout is served unfiltered on a nitrogen tap, it remains smooth and creamy to the palate.

St. James Irish Red Ale
Hand-selected European malts dominate the flavors here, providing a toasted, nutty, malt flavor while Cascade and Willamette hops are used sparingly to lend a slight citrus spiciness. 2006 Bronze Medal and 2003 Silver Medal Winner-Great American Beer Festival. Irish-Style Red Ale Category.

Indian Peaks Pale Ale
North American two-row malts blended to give a pale straw color and pleasant, dry maltiness. A generous use of Cascade hops lend a crisp, citrus finish.

Seasonal Wheat
Our brewmaster has dedicated one tap to a rotating wheat beer. Please ask your server to describe our current offering.

Specialty Beers
We tap a new beer of varying and distinctive style on our specialty tap every month. Visit the brewery to enjoy our current selection.
